In addition to intensive prosthetic intervention education and training, our practitioners keep their skills updated by regularly attending professional seminars and workshops held on a state, regional, and national basis. Horton's orthotists, prosthetists, and technicians further attend continuing education courses and complete programs in specialty areas of practice.

 Once a patient is referred to one of our facilities they will receive a comprehensive evaluation followed by a complete analysis of the potential devices that will address their specific situation and needs. As experienced practitioners, our staff members are familiar with a variety of devices, both traditional and innovative.

Horton’s clinicians are active rehabilitation team members, assisting other healthcare providers in developing and following the patient's comprehensive recovery program. We offer input regarding appropriate rehabilitation devices and recent innovations in the Orthotic and Prosthetic field. We fabricate an orthosis and prosthesis according to each physician's detailed prescription.

 In order to pursue the fitting and fabrication of any orthotic and prosthetic device Horton's must receive a Letter of Medical Necessity and prescription from a physician and/or another medical professional involved in the patients rehabilitative process.
