pleased to announce David Baggett, a certified Prosthetist, as our new manager
in Fort Smith, Arkansas. David received a Bachelor’s Degree in
Prosthetics/Orthotics from the University of Washington, a Master’s Degree in
Secondary Education from Auburn University, and has over eight years of
clinical and technical experience. We hope that all of our patients will be on
board as we move our company in an exciting, new direction. We are very excited
to have David as an integral part of our team, incorporating techniques with a
unique perspective from a company manager. This unique perspective comes
from the fact that David is also a patient, having a prosthetic leg himself enabling

Gary Horton, CO, LO, FAAOP, Wins First Ever Tamarack Prize
Gary
Horton, CO, LO, FAAOP has been awarded the first Tamarack prize for outstanding
contributions to Orthotic Science and Practice.
Mr. Horton was presented with his prize of $10,000 at the American Academy of Orthotists and
Prosthetists Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium’s Opening Session, which
was held in Atlanta on March 5th. This prize was awarded by the Orthotic and
Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation (OPERF). The Tamarack Prize is awarded to an
individual who has made a significant contribution to the practice and
understanding of orthotics science within the last five years and who have a
history of clinical care, scientific research, and peer- reviewed publication
in the orthotics profession. Gary is
President and CEO of Horton’s Orthotic and Prosthetic Lab, Inc. and Horton
Technology Inc and has been a certified orthotist for more than 30 years.
