Pedorthics

foot orthotics

The specially-trained staff of pethorthists at Horton’s are adept in creating orthotic footwear solutions for problem feet and ankles. We may advise a variety of approaches, from custom-molded shoe inserts to extra-depth or other variations of orthopedic shoes. In addition to recommending a solution from our range of off-the-shelf pedorthic devices, our pedorthists can also design custom shoe modifications, post-surgical footwear, and other forms of custom foot orthotics such as toefillers and insoles.

Based on your physician’s prescription, your pedorthist will evaluate your needs and design a custom plan of care to address your foot or ankle problems. We are with you every step of the way – through the initial assessment, the formulation and implementation of your treatment plan, and the management of your follow-up care.

Whether your pain stems from an accident, genetic deformity, neural condition, or disease, our staff can provide you with pre-fabricated or custom-designed foot orthotics to help you:

  • Promote circulation
  • Accommodate any foot deformities
  • Improve your balance
  • Re-align anatomical structures in the foot or ankle
  • Re-distribute weight and other forces on the foot or ankle
  • Control the formation of bunions, ulcers, and other ailments

Years of clinical and laboratory experience combined with intensive research and experimentation, plus formal orthotic and prosthetic education and training, make the practitioners at Horton’s Orthotics and Prosthetics exceptionally qualified in our fields of expertise.

Our staff includes orthotists, prosthetists, pedorthists, and fabrication technicians who are accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) and state licensed in Arkansas, testifying to the high level of care which we provide to all types of patients throughout their lifetimes.

When Will My Prosthetic Be Ready?

Remember – your prosthetic will be ready about two weeks AFTER your insurance approves your claim. We can’t begin production until your insurance has approved your prosthetic. We know how frustrating the wait can be, and we do everything in our power to make sure that your prosthetic gets to you as soon as humanly possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
