Haley Abernathy, L/C.Ped, LPOA, joined Horton’s Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2023 and serves patients at the Searcy and Batesville clinics, bringing five years of experience in the O&P field. She is a Licensed/Certified Pedorthist and Licensed Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistant, credentials she obtained in 2025. Haley completed her pedorthic training through the Midwest School of Modern Pedorthics.
Haley specializes in pedorthics with a focus on diabetic shoes and custom insert solutions, helping patients improve comfort, support, and overall mobility. She also has experience across the full scope of orthotic and prosthetic care, allowing her to assist patients with a wide variety of clinical needs. Her background in intake, authorization, and clinical roles provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the patient experience from evaluation through delivery.
She is known for her compassionate and team-oriented approach, taking time to listen to each patient and understand their individual needs. Haley values open communication and works to ensure patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care.
She was inspired to pursue a career in O&P through her nephew, who became an amputee before learning to walk. Watching his journey and the care he received sparked her passion for the field. Today, she is motivated by seeing patients regain mobility, confidence, and a renewed sense of hope.
Outside of the clinic, Haley enjoys spending time with family and friends, being on the lake or river, gardening, cooking, camping, and fishing.
