Haley Abernathy, L/C.Ped, CFm, LPOA, joined Horton’s Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2023 and serves patients at the Searcy and Batesville clinics. Her experience at Horton’s has included roles in intake, insurance authorization, clinical assisting, and direct patient care, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the patient experience from the first appointment through treatment and follow-up.
Haley is a Licensed/Certified Pedorthist and Licensed Prosthetic Orthotic Assistant with a clinical focus that includes pedorthics, orthotics, diabetic footwear, and lower-extremity care. In 2026, Haley earned her ABC Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CFm) credential, expanding her clinical expertise to include post-mastectomy care. She works with patients to provide personalized breast prostheses and post-mastectomy garments, with an emphasis on comfort, proper fit, confidence, and compassionate support.
Her background across multiple areas of O&P helps Haley understand both the clinical and administrative challenges patients may encounter. She takes a practical, patient-focused approach, listening carefully to each individual’s concerns and working to identify solutions that improve comfort, function, mobility, and confidence.
Haley’s interest in the O&P profession is also personal. Her nephew’s experience with orthotic care helped inspire her interest in the field and continues to influence the compassion and understanding she brings to her patients.
As her role at Horton’s continues to grow, Haley remains committed to expanding her knowledge and skills so she can serve patients across a broader range of needs, including orthotic, pedorthic, and mastectomy care.
