
Ladon Jones is a licensed Orthotist, ABC certified Orthotic Assistant, ABC certified mastectomy fitter, and Arkansas Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant who joined Horton’s in 2023. She is a native to the Jonesboro area and a graduate from Jonesboro High School and Arkansas State University. At ASU she completed the Physical Therapy Assistant program and earned an associate degree in Applied Science in 1998. In 2017, Ladon was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the ASU College of Nursing and Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy for her contributions to education in the profession. She routinely provides education to physicians, physical therapists, and physical therapy students through lectures and in-services to allow for improved outcomes in patient care.
The start of her orthotics career began in 1999 as a certified mastectomy fitter and orthotic fitter where she provided compression garments and off the shelf orthotic devices. After deciding this was the career she wanted to pursue she became an ABC certified Orthotic Assistant in 2005 and later became a Licensed Orthotist in 2007. During her orthotics training, a passion for pediatrics became the focus of her expertise. Ladon enjoys how our profession continues to evolve with new products that impact people’s day to day activities. She continuously researches the newest advancements in pediatric and adult orthotic treatments available. She also enjoys helping patients improve and overcome their physical challenges by ensuring the device she provides is what they need to achieve their desired function. Hearing from parents that a device she provided has made a difference in a child’s life is one of the things she loves most about being an Orthotist. Physical Therapists around the state routinely work with Ladon to provide a collaborative team approach to maximize patient outcomes.
Ladon will be treating both pediatrics and adultsout of the Jonesboro clinic. She has experience inutilizing Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) technology such as Bioness and Walk aid for the treatment of lower limb pathologies. In addition, Ladon is skilled in providing spinal orthoses, upper extremity orthoses, SWASH hip orthosis, dynamic lower extremity orthotics, and pedorthics. She utilizes her skills and training to treat a multitude of pathologies requiring orthotic intervention as a treatment plan. In her free time Ladon enjoys spending timewith her husband John P. Jones II (Jay) and their son John Paul (Jake) Jones III. They like being outdoors hunting, fishing, or kayaking. She also enjoys cooking and time with their boxer Bo and beagle Sadie.
