
Richard Howard, LOA joined Horton’s Orthotics & Prosthetics in 2015 and serves patients at the Little Rock clinic, bringing over 20 years of experience in the O&P field. He currently serves as the Orthotics Operations Manager and is a Licensed Orthotic Assistant, with a background that includes hands-on experience as an orthotic assistant and orthotic technician.
Richard specializes in orthotics with a focus on lower extremity care, with experience supporting diverse patient needs, including complex and trauma-related conditions. He has experience with a variety of orthotic systems, including S.W.A.S.H., Starband cranial remolding orthoses (CRO), Cascade, Surestep, Reactive, and Neuro PDE devices. He also utilizes advanced 3D scanning and CAD/CAM technology to design and deliver precise, effective orthotic solutions.
He is known for his detail-oriented and patient-centered approach, taking time to understand each individual’s goals and ensuring orthotic solutions are both effective and comfortable. Richard prioritizes clear communication and collaboration, helping patients feel confident and supported throughout their care. He is also committed to staying current in the field, actively researching advancements in O&P and striving to remain educated on the latest technology to better serve his patients.
Outside of the clinic, Richard enjoys spending time with his family, working on his land, and camping, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoys time at home with his family and their dogs.
