Ryan Nix joined the Horton team in 2022 as the Rehab Support Director. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Harding University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UCA in 2008. Ryan’s passion for working with patients who have undergone an amputation began when he did a case study report during his doctorate program that looked at early weight bearing using a PPAM aide, which is an immediate postoperative prosthesis. Ryan has worked in a variety of settings including private practice OP, inpatient rehab, and home health; and has earned recognitions such as being chosen as a member of the Baptist Health Emerging Leaders Group. Over his years of clinical practice, his love of working with patients who are post-amputation has continued to grow as he assists them in returning to their normal routines and recreational activities. At Horton’s, Ryan helps guide patients through their rehabilitative journey and works with the practitioner to achieve the best possible outcome for each patient, which is our ultimate goal. Ryan is a native of Texas and enjoys traveling and spending quality family time with his wife and three kids. He is a deacon at West Side Church of Christ and regularly teaches Youth Group Bible classes and coordinates Youth and Family activities. As a Chi Sigma Alpha alumnus, he now serves as a sponsor for other Harding students. Ryan’s dedication to serving others is clear in both his professional and personal life.
