Horton works in the family’s business doing orthotics and prosthetics. She has been a mastectomy fitter for over 20 years. Horton oversees all the patient care coordinators, the authorization and billing departments and the compliance and contracting team for all eight locations. She graduated from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2000 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing.
She also is the meeting coordinator for the Arkansas State Association where she plans their annual state education meeting. In 2012, she started an initiative to build an all-inclusive park in Bryant, which was the first in Arkansas. She worked with Bryant Parks volunteering numerous hours until the park’s completion in 2018. In 2017, Horton was one of thirteen and the only non-physician invited to The White House by the Vice President to speak with the Secretary of Health and the Head of CMS about problems with Medicare and private insurance medical polices. In 2022, she started a networking group with two of her friends that has grown to over 1200 members that focuses on charitable donations and support in her community. One of the recent things she is most proud of is helping an unsheltered man get a home and off the streets using her community resources.
