Michael Horton started working at Horton’s at the age of 14. He started as an orthotic technician, and started seeing orthotic patients as a practitioner after graduating high school in 1992. He has a degree in Kinesiology from UCA and has his certificate in prosthetics from Northwestern University. Mike has worked on many projects over the years with his father including the Stance Control Orthotic Knee Joint (SCOKJ). He sees patients from all over the world for the SCOKJ and also has been to many meetings to lecture on this topic. Mike is the back up instructor on the SCOKJ and has had practitioners from as far as Australia fly to Little Rock to be trained by him on the SCOKJ. Mike is is Licensed in both orthotics and prosthetics by the state of Arkansas and is head of the prosthetics department for Little Rock and Searcy. He mainly sees patients in Little Rock, but does see patient’s once a week in our Searcy office and does do some out reach clinics around the state.
